Can you stop crapping?

While I was on the way to work today, as usual I’ve got my radio turned on. The radio DJ was reading out SMS sent from listeners.

(Briefly translated from Mandarin)
DJ: Ah, this is from XXX and she said, “I would like to wish those who’re at work to have a great day and hope that time passes by as quick as possible since today is Friday.”
DJ: Do you know that every seconds and minutes are fair to everyone. There’s no such thing as time passes quicker. Ha ha ha…

WTF!? Do you think your listeners are dumb? I always think that she’s one fucking annoying bitch, that statement totally hit the annoyed limit of my life! She always likes to laugh to her own stupid jokes which I don’t find them funny at all! She must have one hell of a high self esteem. Crappy little bitch...darn radio had to schedule her as the DJ during that particular time of the day. *sigh*

How true?

“For context; Singapore is a South-East Asian country of 4 million people, all squashed onto an island about the size of Toronto. And not "GTA that includes Brampton, Kenora, and, like, Iqaluit" Toronto, just plain, regular Toronto. It is situated at the tip of Malaysia, a country of which it was a part until 1965. At this point, rather than fighting an epic independence struggle with a Gandhi-esque leader, Singapore was kicked out of its own country. The Malaysian PM liked his chances in the next election if he removed a state won by the opposition. So he just did that, without really consulting the Singaporeans. So Singapore is the only country to become independent against its own wishes. The PM cried on TV when announcing it. It is hard for me not to find that cute.”

This article is written by a foreigner who moved to Singapore for a student exchange program. I personally have a few friends working in Singapore but I do not exactly have a Singaporean friend. Somehow it makes me wonder how true the histories are being taught to our children. We Malaysians were taught that Singapore wanted to separate from Malaysia but the Singaporeans are being told otherwise. Removing a state just to win an election? I think that’s a little exaggerating but who knows…………………………

What are your thoughts?

EPF Dilemma...

Our so-called soon to be Mr. Prime Minister had announced a reduction of employee’s EPF contribution from 11% to 8%.

Source

It’s been quite a discussion everywhere, everyone is voicing out their opinions on such arrangement by the government. Personally I don’t see why people are making a big fuss out of it. First, this reduction is intended to increase disposable income of the people, to encourage the growth of economy in order to reduce the effect of recession. Whether recession is going to hit us or not that’ll be a different story all together. I’m not an expert nor do I know a lot about the economy, but the idea of having more cash flow transfers in the market would benefit the economy is rather true.

Some people may say the 3% reduction is insignificant and it will reduce the savings of their retirement days. I truly believe that this 3% could make into good use if one is discipline enough. At the end of the day the 8% + 3% would still be at your hand. You can choose to invest the 3%; you can choose to pay off your house monthly installment. These could in fact bring more benefit to you. I shall not complain the government for introducing this reduction but I would condemn whoever who thinks this move is unwise just because they couldn’t resist the temptation of spending off the 3% themselves.

After all, do you really know how well the EPF fund is being managed?

What's wrong with Lee Hom?

VERY WRONG!!!

One of his latest song which is supposed to be called "What's wrong with me", or better known as <摇滚怎么了> in Chinese. OMG that's one hell of a crappy song, I'm no fan of Wang Lee Hom but I think his old songs are pretty OK until I heard this new one over the radio recently.

From his introduction, it's supposed to be his so-called new style Chinese rock "n" roll. WTF? being creative is good but creating such horrible song is just SSSOOOO wrong. *puke*

How to spend USD 1 trillion?

Every time after I've checked my Yahoo mail I'd take a quick glance at the "Featured" column in Yahoo's main page. There's this one topic that I find it quite interesting so I thought it'll be nice to share it with my fellow readers.

As pointed that the cost of Iraq war is hitting USD1 trillion. Ever wonder what can USD1 trillion buy you?

Check out the below website introducing the book written by Rob Simpson, "What We Could Have Done With The Money".

Link

It also features a simple game which you can choose on how to spend the USD1 trillion. Very interesting; to briefly share with you, I could buy 10 each of the Porsche 911 Turbo and Saleen S7 (where's my SLK 200K?), 20 Bentley Azure Convertible Mulliner, 10 jets, 10 Air Force One 747, an airport of my own, 10 race track (ahh..my favourite..so that I can race my Porsches and Saleens all by myself..haha), some theme parks, casinos, blah blah blah...*phew*...It definitely takes up alot of your brain juice trying to figure out what to buy..haha..

Just in case you wonder, yes people...I did contribute some to charity with that USD1 trillion. :P
