Effect of Economy Downturn???

Sushi King has always been one of my favourite Japanese food outlets for quite some years. It has been a while since I last visited them so I thought it’ll be nice to give them a visit again during my last minute shopping in MidValley few days ago.

Ordered an Una Don and the moment it was served to me, I think it was 30% lesser than the last time I had it. (If my memory serves me right)

I immediately asked the waiter why it was only half filled and all he could respond was just a “sorry” smile.

Could it be that the recession is already hitting us? Or the chef was just too hungry while preparing my food? I would personally think that the chef wasn’t really trained enough that he/she could have wrongly estimated the right proportion of the food he/she should prepare. I sure hope so.

Maybe a second chance next time to see if it’s true.

These pictures were taken right at the moment it was served to me.

My First Outing Blog Entry…

Usually I would blog at home or either in my office during my free time. Today, as of now, I’m actually sitting in a fully air conditioned guest lounge of a detailing shop in Sunway surfing around with it’s free WiFi. Pretty interesting experience because I hardly bring my laptop out to anywhere mainly due to the fact that my laptop is fucking ugly. It has a defected LCD screen, very dirty keypads, and the fully charged battery finishes in 50 minutes of usage.

I had no choice because my detailing session would take 3-4 hours and there’s nothing much here within the walking distance range. I’m glad I decided to bring my laptop. They even allow me to use their power source!

Maybe I shall try Starbucks or something next time…

Your friend??? So???

PC Fair has just passed few weeks back and as usual, most forums would have those booth babes pictures uploaded for the forum members to “appreciate”. It is very common and normal to have dudes checking them out and commenting on the ladies. One that would actually annoy the hell out of me is when someone posted a picture of a booth babe; he would go like “HEY!!! That’s my friend. You took her picture! GOSH! I didn’t know she’s so pretty now!” -,-

Who cares if she’s your friend? Why would you get so excited if you see your friend’s picture in a forum?

“HEY! She’s my friend; we used to hang out together.” SO???? Did I ask?

Until you actually say “Hey! I can hook you up with her!”, I don’t think anyone would be interested to know whether any of the ladies is your friend or not.

Some eye candy for you below...

Nuts for Anime Figures…

Today a friend showed me something interesting and it actually caught my attention. Japanese Anime Figures! I’ve seen them while window shopping in our neighboring shopping malls but didn’t really take a closer look at them. What attracted my attention were the details on them that are so fine that you can actually strip them down to only their panties. Checked out one of the popular local forum and there are actually males who get so attracted to these figures that they would spend thousands of Ringgit to collect them, probably even to “relief’ themselves while ogling at them I suppose? HAHA.

But I must say some of them are really some nice art pieces. I wouldn’t mind having a couple of them if it’s cheap. Which I think it’d be the opposite.

Pretty cool huh?

Sincere Apologies…

Initially I did not think about blogging this out but to use the usual way of writing an email. But I decided to try something new since the intended receiver of my apologies is also my reader. This will also serves as a reminder for me to not repeat my mistake again.

I would like to apologize to my beloved “other half” for my immaturity last Saturday. I have not thought of the difficulties and how struggling you are over the passed few months with your work and made a stupid comment that hurts your feeling. I am so sorry and I promise that it will never happen again. Regardless of whatever reason that causes me to make such “complain”, it is unacceptable. I will make sure that I am always the person who you would be able to rely on in whatever situation it may be.

Although you may have forgiven me for such immature act, and however brief this message is, I want to say this again. “My dearest, I’m sorry”.

Muaks!

Rice Fried with Pork Oil?

As a tattoo person myself, I tend to spend a little more time admiring other people’s work of art. I was laughing my ass off the first time I saw this picture.

Apparently Ms Audrina Patridge, the star of The Hills was spotted getting herself a new tattoo after a naked picture scandal. I don’t know who she really is actually but the tattoo really cracks me up. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Source

It literary means “Rice Fried with Pork Oil”! I wonder what does this mean to her. *LOL* Some wonder if that tattoo is for real.

So the next time you’re looking for a tattoo in a foreign language. PLEASE make sure you totally understand what it means.

Back from Mars...

It’s been more than 2 weeks since I last blogged. Was really occupied lately, partially due to the busy-ness from my grandmother's funeral. There were so many things to do! *May you rest in peace Mama.*

I have a habit of thinking out what to blog whenever something happen around me. I just kinda went empty lately. Another reason for the 2 weeks of missing new post.

I just got myself a pair of Oakley Fives 3.0 (Asian Fit). Loving it everyday. I need better camera to take good picture man. In the mean time, this is how it looks like.

Ever since I came back to work from my compassionate leave I've been researching a lot on my newly acquired OLD HP TC1100 tablet PC. And I foresee myself spending a little time with the LeRun mountain bike I'm going to collect over the weekend as well..hehe..

Looks like I'm getting myself really busy with leisure. Gotta prep myself up to face the heavy workload next year. :P Not forgetting my business plan and of course, something that's coming this weekend too (not the bike-lah!).

Can you stop crapping?

While I was on the way to work today, as usual I’ve got my radio turned on. The radio DJ was reading out SMS sent from listeners.

(Briefly translated from Mandarin)
DJ: Ah, this is from XXX and she said, “I would like to wish those who’re at work to have a great day and hope that time passes by as quick as possible since today is Friday.”
DJ: Do you know that every seconds and minutes are fair to everyone. There’s no such thing as time passes quicker. Ha ha ha…

WTF!? Do you think your listeners are dumb? I always think that she’s one fucking annoying bitch, that statement totally hit the annoyed limit of my life! She always likes to laugh to her own stupid jokes which I don’t find them funny at all! She must have one hell of a high self esteem. Crappy little bitch...darn radio had to schedule her as the DJ during that particular time of the day. *sigh*

How true?

“For context; Singapore is a South-East Asian country of 4 million people, all squashed onto an island about the size of Toronto. And not "GTA that includes Brampton, Kenora, and, like, Iqaluit" Toronto, just plain, regular Toronto. It is situated at the tip of Malaysia, a country of which it was a part until 1965. At this point, rather than fighting an epic independence struggle with a Gandhi-esque leader, Singapore was kicked out of its own country. The Malaysian PM liked his chances in the next election if he removed a state won by the opposition. So he just did that, without really consulting the Singaporeans. So Singapore is the only country to become independent against its own wishes. The PM cried on TV when announcing it. It is hard for me not to find that cute.”

Source

This article is written by a foreigner who moved to Singapore for a student exchange program. I personally have a few friends working in Singapore but I do not exactly have a Singaporean friend. Somehow it makes me wonder how true the histories are being taught to our children. We Malaysians were taught that Singapore wanted to separate from Malaysia but the Singaporeans are being told otherwise. Removing a state just to win an election? I think that’s a little exaggerating but who knows…………………………

What are your thoughts?

EPF Dilemma...

Our so-called soon to be Mr. Prime Minister had announced a reduction of employee’s EPF contribution from 11% to 8%.

Source

It’s been quite a discussion everywhere, everyone is voicing out their opinions on such arrangement by the government. Personally I don’t see why people are making a big fuss out of it. First, this reduction is intended to increase disposable income of the people, to encourage the growth of economy in order to reduce the effect of recession. Whether recession is going to hit us or not that’ll be a different story all together. I’m not an expert nor do I know a lot about the economy, but the idea of having more cash flow transfers in the market would benefit the economy is rather true.

Some people may say the 3% reduction is insignificant and it will reduce the savings of their retirement days. I truly believe that this 3% could make into good use if one is discipline enough. At the end of the day the 8% + 3% would still be at your hand. You can choose to invest the 3%; you can choose to pay off your house monthly installment. These could in fact bring more benefit to you. I shall not complain the government for introducing this reduction but I would condemn whoever who thinks this move is unwise just because they couldn’t resist the temptation of spending off the 3% themselves.

After all, do you really know how well the EPF fund is being managed?

What's wrong with Lee Hom?

VERY WRONG!!!

One of his latest song which is supposed to be called "What's wrong with me", or better known as <摇滚怎么了> in Chinese. OMG that's one hell of a crappy song, I'm no fan of Wang Lee Hom but I think his old songs are pretty OK until I heard this new one over the radio recently.

From his introduction, it's supposed to be his so-called new style Chinese rock "n" roll. WTF? being creative is good but creating such horrible song is just SSSOOOO wrong. *puke*

How to spend USD 1 trillion?

Every time after I've checked my Yahoo mail I'd take a quick glance at the "Featured" column in Yahoo's main page. There's this one topic that I find it quite interesting so I thought it'll be nice to share it with my fellow readers.

As pointed that the cost of Iraq war is hitting USD1 trillion. Ever wonder what can USD1 trillion buy you?

Check out the below website introducing the book written by Rob Simpson, "What We Could Have Done With The Money".

Link

It also features a simple game which you can choose on how to spend the USD1 trillion. Very interesting; to briefly share with you, I could buy 10 each of the Porsche 911 Turbo and Saleen S7 (where's my SLK 200K?), 20 Bentley Azure Convertible Mulliner, 10 jets, 10 Air Force One 747, an airport of my own, 10 race track (ahh..my favourite..so that I can race my Porsches and Saleens all by myself..haha), some theme parks, casinos, blah blah blah...*phew*...It definitely takes up alot of your brain juice trying to figure out what to buy..haha..

Just in case you wonder, yes people...I did contribute some to charity with that USD1 trillion. :P

What a beautiful smile...

OK, initially I don’t intend to blog today but somehow, something actually made me wanting to rant about it.

I totally don’t understand why some girls like to make stupid faces that they actually think it’s cute. There’s this cam-whore who loves uploading her pictures in her Facebook site. Once in a while I would check them out as there are some pretty girls who would take pictures together with her..HAHA.. I always think that it is just outrageously fugly for her to be doing that everytime the camera is focusing on her and from the look of it she sure thinks her weird smile is like an angel’s. Come on bitch, this doesn’t apply to all girls. You would look decently nice without that stupid smirk on your face.

Some would think that I should just choose to not view her albums but I can’t. I have a habit of making myself miserable at times. :P

Guess I should stop now as this girl is supposed to be my dearest’s cousin’s husband’s cousin’s girlfriend. (WTF!)

I can't put her pictures up otherwise I'd probably get killed and fed to his/her dog soon enough.

Myvi Evolution...

Big spoiler...extreme bodykit...loud exhaust...etc etc...

These are the essential of a modified "race" car in our beloved boleh-land. A For-Sale ad showed up in my screen when I was randomly surfing around.

Evo?

Modified cars are too common here but I've never seen an Evo spoiler on a Myvi. It would take up too much of courage for me to do this on my ride.

Interested to get a set of this bodykit? Click HERE.

Proton Copy Cat?

Something caught my eye while I was in the bus ride during my recent trip to China. I can't really recall where was it but I guess it doesn't really matter. At one glance I thought I saw a Proton Service Center in China..:P

Foton anyone?

Visually Delicious...

Despite calling Mid Valley my second home, I’ve never actually walk around The Gardens ever since it opened many months ago. Myself and my dearest decided to just window shop at The Gardens since we had our car parked at its parking area.

As we enjoy the relaxing walk after our late lunch, we went into a shop called Action City, and guess what I saw?

its Mr. Breadou!!!

Mr. Breadou is a wrist rests cum squeezable stress-relievers which feels and smells like real bread. You can check them out at Action City.

Here's also an entry by T3 Singapore about Mr. Breadou.

Can't resist the temptation so I bought a Vanilla Dream home. :P I'm gonna keep it at my workstation, hopefully kakak cleaner wouldn't throw it away thinking that it'd spoil after few days. haha.

Vanilla Dream at work...:P

Certified ORIGINAL!!!!

Dropped by to Revelstoke this morning to get my Oakley inspected. I actually emailed them yesterday and was told that its better to have them check on my Oakley since I was worried that it could be a fake.

A lady greeted me after some curious walk-around in their office for about 10 minutes and this was our conversation:

Me: Hi, I was told that I can send my Oakley here for an inspection to see if its fake or original. I bought it second hand from a local forum and I'm worried that it could be a fake unit.
Lady: Yeah sure! No problem, that would take a while. Please have a seat.
Me: a while? (I'm already late for work actually..:P) how long do I have to wait?
Lady: It would be just few minutes.(aiseh..then you should have just said a few minutes lor)

The verdict? its ORIGINAL! yay! but Revelstoke would not provide any service to me as there was no proof of purchase from their dealer. The warranty card which came with it did not have a stamp from the shop except for Revelstoke's stamp. They're not going to provide me any service even if I can pay them, but I guess its ok as I could easily get a replacement for a pretty low price if its really spoilt in the future *touchwood*

So whoever who wants to get an Oakley, make sure you take note on the warranty issue. There is no life time warranty as claimed by most people. If you purchase an Oakley from the authorized shop, you'd get a 1yr warranty and a life time part replacement with a fee..that explains why they are not willing to provide service to me even if I want to pay them.

I'm very happy with my Oakley definitely, especially the clearer view I get compared to my regular sunglasses. :P can't wait for my next pair!

New found Love...

Lately I’ve been hooked on to one of the world’s most popular eyewear, Oakley!

Again, I can never afford Oakley during my teenage time, I could only hope while feeling jealous with most of my mates who could afford it.

Went to Mid Valley last week to try out a few models but still couldn’t decide which to go with. I love the Gascan but it’s too small for my wide face. Tried on the Oil Drum, Oil Rig, Eyepatch, Fives 3.0, Conduct and Half Jacket but most do not look too good either. (In my own opinion lah since I was alone :P)

Until earlier today I saw someone posted a Fives 2.0 for sale in a local forum, I sms-ed the dude and met up with him later in the evening and viola! I’ve got my first Oakley! It’s a used one but the condition is pretty mint. Oakley has discontinued this model and it is rather difficult for me to spot if it’s a fake, it comes with a Revelstoke warranty card though, together with the usual box and microbag. Looked at every millimeter of the shades to make sure there’s no sign of defect/fake and it seems fine according to my googled results on how to spot fake/replica Oakley-s. The dude is kind enough to give me a week to get it verified in any optical shops.

Still not getting over with the Gascan, I’m planning to get another pair of Oakley. A brand new one! I shall decide soon!

Oakley US used to sell it at USD70 which would be about RM266 with direct conversion of USD1 = RM3.80. Which means it would be selling in Malaysia for about RM400++ back then. I paid RM190 for my Five 2.0. Some shops in the UK are selling it for GBP63. (If its in stock..hehe)

I’m pretty happy with it. Looking forward to my next pair! :P

Whisky or Brandy for you Sir?

Ever since I have the thoughts of selling off my ex mod-ed ride couple of years back, and being the usual greedy person that I am, I've always been looking for something to keep myself occupied other than my day job.

I started off my collection of whisky/brandy in 2006, thanks to a close friend who showed me his Absolut Vodka collection. The initial idea was to collect enough bottles of liquor for my wedding dinner in the future but I have a feeling that I would not be so generous..hehe..:P

Here’s a list of my Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey collection: (need a little time to organize some pictures)
1) 1914 Gold Medal Bottle
2) Silver Select Single Barrel
3) The Monogram
4) Gentleman Jack (Old and New version)

Other brand of liquor in my collection:
1) Chivas Regal 12 year old
2) Chivas Regal 18 year old
3) Chivas Royale Salute 21 year old
4) Johnnie Walker Black Label Anniversary Edition (October 2008)
5) Otard Cognac 35cl
6) Martell Cordon Bleu 1.5L and 70cl
7) Various Miniature of Chivas/ JD/ Flavored Absolut Vodka

I’m itching to start off another type of collection as I don’t fly regularly, hence lesser opportunity for me to increase my liquor collection as I can only afford duty free liquor from the airport :P...we'll see what I can think of!

Welcome

Welcome People!

As much as I love writing reviews, I've only done it once a few years back. I don't have the habit of writing a diary, and I can’t afford gadgets or anything to be reviewed. I've always been wondering if I should start a blog. My sixth sense is telling me I should; maybe I can just start writing about anything that I find interesting. Whoever that reads this blog, thank you for reading and hopefully you can give me some feedback.

Thank you!
